I have been married for sixteen years to my friend and partner, Mike. We are the proud parents of three beautiful and smart daughters. For fun, I enjoy interior decorating, photography, and spending time outdoors. I attended Worthington Christian High School and then Grace College in Winona Lake, Indiana. I have my Expanded Functions Dental Assisting license from The Ohio State University. I have worked in the dental field for twenty years. I worked first as a chairside dental assistant, and then as an expanded functions dental assistant. My time gaining dental experience as an assistant opened up the opportunity to work for Aegis Progressive Solutions, a dental consulting company. My time at Aegis was invaluable. It afforded me the pleasure of traveling around the country and the privilege to work with amazing Dentists and their staff, helping them to grow their dental practices. For the past five years, I have worked as the director of marketing and clinical coordinator at Cross Creek Dental Care in Marion, Ohio. It is here that I have had the great fortune to learn from Dr. Leon, my dental mentor and fellow visionary of First Impressions Dental Assisting Program. First Impressions is a labor of love, my opportunity to give back to the dental community and to students that are looking for a truly rewarding career.

I enjoy running, playing golf, music and spending time with my wife of 23 years and my two amazing children. I earned both my undergraduate and graduate degrees from West Virginia University, receiving my Doctor of Dental Surgery in 1987. Prior to opening my practices in Marion and Mt. Vernon, I had the opportunity to work with several skilled dentists in the states of Ohio, West Virginia, and Florida. Along with my twenty five years of practicing dentistry, this has given me the experience that is needed to deliver dental care at an optimal level. Because I practice high end dentistry with the most modern materials and equipment, I expect the same high standards from my staff. It has been a challenge over the years to find well trained dental assistants. For this reason, I decided to start my own dental assistant training program. I feel that the best place to learn about dentistry is in a real dental facility from experienced dental professionals. First Impressions has a wonderful curriculum that combines text books with hands on training. Our training is offered at Cross Creek Dental Care, my Marion dental practice. It has been a pleasure to be involved with this program.
